It's never too late to learn!

It's never too late to learn!

Estonian is my mother tongue. However, I was a pupil at Tartu Secondary School 2, which also meant a strong emphasis on English from pre-school onwards. Already at the age of ten, geography and various other subjects were in English. I started to like the language more and more and thought about quite difficult things in English. I even had dreams in English.

My Estonian isn't that modern. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents. My grandmother was an Estonian philologist from the University of Tartu
- she wrote books, but they never made it into print because she was afraid of hurting those who were still alive. Her books were novels - full of love, betrayal, fear and death.
I remember how he would wake up at 4 in the morning and write novels in folders by the light of a floor lamp.
I was a little girl then. He would read them to me and I would listen with my mouth full.
How young girls fell in love with soldiers and went on dates with them, even stayed in their childhood homes.
It was so fascinating.

These folders are carefully stored.
And probably will remain in storage.
Some things are good if they stay secret.
Because it's actually possible to investigate things without knowing for sure.
Trust your intuition, develop it and enjoy life! Be responsible and respect other people.
Everything that others reflect is within you.

It's the journey of discovery that is exciting - not so much the finished product.
On my desk is a brand new textbook on Linguistics and Speech for secondary school - it's never too late to improve and develop your language. Any learning is a blessing and a brain developer. What are you learning now?
