Dreaming Carita produces photo accessories for world-famous baby photographers such as Luisa Dunn, Lori Dorman, Kath Vergara and hundreds (even thousands) of other photographers and expectant mothers. The first photos of a baby will remain wonderful memories for families for generations. Right now, Dreaming Carita is waiting to dress Richard Gere's baby. Dreaming Carita has also produced clothes for Hollywood reality stars Cameran Wimberly and Natalie Nunn, who both have over 1 million followers on Instagram. In December, world-famous youtuber Madison Fisher (over 3 million followers) ordered clothes for her baby. Dreaming Carita's founder, Küllike Pähn, is very proud that all of these people have contacted her and that the quality of her products is appreciated around the world. She is gaining new customers in droves every day. All her items are made by Küllike herself at home with the help of her husband. Küllike sells on Instagram, Etsy shop and Facebook groups. For Küllikes, this is just the beginning. Last year's turnover is set to be multiplied this year, with a turnover of $15,000 in January alone. Turnover in 2018 was 10 times that of 2017. Küllike has done all this with no start-up capital, with €40 donated by my late grandmother 4 years ago, and without any financial support. Küllikes' requests for money have been repeatedly turned down, saying that the product is pointless and she would not find customers. Küllike proved the opposite, getting your business off the ground without any grants or projects is a great achievement in itself. But so is the possibility of running such a business in the south-eastern corner of Estonia, on the Latvian border, from the corner of your living room sofa.
I remember making a call to a coach over 2.5 years ago. I had a whole series of hesitations, doubts.
My coach, who I was working with at the time, was very emotional at the beginning of the session and told me how the child of the family next door had just died of cancer.
I was silent and said - I have helped cancer patients to get better.
He was silent for a long time. It wasn't such a good silence.
We'd talked earlier about the "Why?" of why I should get out. I had talked about liking to help people and get feedback and see success stories and change lives. I had never once mentioned that miracles are possible. That miracles can be normal, the norm.
This coach blurted out - "Heidi, you have a magic wand and you're hiding it. How do you feel?".
I was silent now. I felt I had no excuse to hide myself any longer. For the sake of that little dead boy who lived in England. A month later, I set up my own company, Heidi Plumberg International Ltd. I put aside all the Unemployment Fund and EAS options. I was just in a hurry.
Two years later, the company has grown every year. New people have found me all the time. Yes, there are children cured of cancer. I've also gone to the hospital to help and had a session with my mother in the hallway. Free of charge. Because it's part of my "why".
What is your why?
